MISSION STATEMENT
AdvantagePlus of Indiana FCU's mission is to provide a competitively priced, full line of quality financial products to our members in a personal and friendly environment.
HISTORY
AdvantagePlus of Indiana Federal Credit Union was originally chartered in Bridgeport, CT. as Columbia Records Employees FCU on October 6th, 1953. The Credit Union operated out of Bridgeport until May of 1964 when it moved to the Terre Haute, Indiana facility.
The credit union continued to grow and add new employee groups. Therefore, in 1993, the board felt the credit union name should change from Columbia Records Employees FCU to “Columbia Group FCU”.
To better position the credit Union for the future, along with the move to our new facility, we opted to change our name again in May of 2004 to AdvantagePlus of Indiana FCU. We feel it is an Advantage to belong to our credit union and hope you feel that way too! You own us, not a group of stockholders, which is why you are called a member.
Our goal is to give more personalized service, greater flexibility, and better rates. We may not always be able to help, but we are willing to try!
We are now open to anyone who lives, works, worships or attends school in Vigo County.
